Kansas has allowed permitless concealed carry since July 1, 2015 for anyone 21 or older who can legally possess a firearm. The Kansas concealed carry license is still issued, through the Barton County Sheriff's office with approval by the Kansas Attorney General, and adults 18 to 20 can qualify for it. The license is useful when you travel, because more states honor it than permitless carry. Buildings with the state's approved no-carry sign, and posted private property, remain off limits.
