The CZ 457 American is a bolt-action rifle in .22 WMR with a 24.8-inch barrel and a blue and black finish. It weighs 6.6 pounds and measures 42.25 inches overall. The magazine holds five rounds plus one, and one magazine comes with the rifle. The Turkish walnut stock has a high, flat comb, and the receiver takes scope rings through an 11mm dovetail. The rifle ships without sights.

This rifle is built for scope-based shooting, with a comb that sits well behind an optic and a 60-degree bolt lift that clears larger scope eyepieces. The adjustable trigger and the two-position receiver safety add to the setup. The .22 WMR chambering suits small-game work and range practice, and the interchangeable barrel system leaves room for a later change.
